Here is a really good article that provides background info on Transformative Learning Theory. It is succinct, and gives the reader insight into the four strands of this theory of adult learning. Check it out. I think you'll find it useful.

I've been doing my research on transformative learning theory for my annotated bibliography. I came across a good article that lays out the four strands of transformative learning as it relates to adult education. This will be a good piece to read, in addition to the chapter in our textbook. My name is Calvin Walton, and I would describe myself as a multifaceted person with a wide variety of interests. I am a native of New Rochelle, New York, the "Queen City on the Sound". I currently reside in Charlotte, North Carolina with my wife and two children. Prior to moving to Charlotte, we lived in Baltimore, MD and Lakewood, CA. In terms of my professional background I describe myself as a Teacher/Actor. During the day I teach Special Education in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, and I spend the rest of my time acting on stage, in film and doing voice over work. I have taught school and acted professionally in New York, Baltimore, Los Angeles, and Charlotte. Most recently I played a homicide detective in the Film "In/Significant Others", a Charlotte based indie film that is currently in post-production.
